Shipping Policy

Due to the size, weight, and specialized nature of most railroad track materials, our shipping methods are tailored accordingly.1. Shipping of Large/Heavy Railroad Components The following items are classified as oversize / heavy freight and require shipping via semi-truck (flatbed, step-deck, or specialized freight carrier):

• Rail sections (all lengths and weights)

• Frogs (all types: rigid, spring, self-guarded, etc.)

• Switch points

• Turnouts / switches (complete or major assemblies)

• Other large track materials or components over 10 feet in length or exceeding standard pallet weight limits

Key terms for these shipments:

• Freight Shipping Only — We do not offer parcel, LTL small-package, or residential delivery for these items.

• Shipping Cost — Freight charges are not included in the product price and will be quoted separately. We will provide a freight estimate (or actual carrier quote) prior to order confirmation.

• Delivery Arrangements — Shipping is arranged to a commercial address with adequate access for semi-truck delivery (including loading dock, wide driveway, or suitable off-loading area). Lift-gate service is not available.

• Customer Responsibility — Buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery location details, ensuring site accessibility, and coordinating unloading equipment (forklift, crane, etc.) as needed. Any additional accessorial charges (e.g., detention, re-delivery, lumper fees, or difficult access) will be the buyer's responsibility.

• Lead Time — Freight delivery typically takes 3–14 business days depending on location, carrier availability, and weather/road conditions. We will provide tracking information when available.

• Inspection on Delivery — All freight shipments must be inspected upon arrival for damage or shortages before the driver leaves. Note any issues on the delivery receipt (e.g., "damaged" or "short") and contact us immediately.

2. Shipping of Smaller Items & Accessories For smaller, non-heavy items (such as rail anchors, spikes, joint bars, small hardware, tools, or accessories that can be safely palletized and shipped via standard freight carriers):

• Shipping is available via common carrier (LTL freight or parcel services when applicable).

• Shipping costs are calculated at checkout or quoted separately.

• These items may qualify for free shipping promotions (if offered).

3. Customer Pickup / Trailer Load Option For all orders — especially large rail, frogs, switch points, or full truckload quantities — customers may choose to arrange their own transportation.

• Pickup Available — Items can be picked up at our yard/warehouse location [specify city/state or "our facility"] by appointment only.

• Customer Trailer — You may use your own trailer, lowboy, or flatbed truck. We will load the material using our equipment (forklift/crane) at no additional charge, subject to safe loading conditions.

• Loading Requirements — Customer is responsible for providing a suitable trailer/vehicle rated for the weight and properly secured for highway transport. We reserve the right to refuse loading if the transport appears unsafe or inadequate.

• No Additional Fees — Pickup orders incur no shipping charges.

4. General Shipping Notes

• All sales are FOB Shipping Point (our facility). Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer upon loading.

• We work with reputable freight carriers experienced in handling railroad materials.

• Hazardous materials declarations (if applicable) will be provided as required.

• We are not responsible for delays caused by carrier issues, weather, road restrictions, or customs (for international shipments).
